The idea behind Glims
Glims started with a simple thought.
Must an accessory have a specific place?
Many accessories are created to be used in a specific way. They have a clear function, an obvious placement, and an expected expression. Glims emerged from a desire to explore something different.
The idea was to create a detail that is not limited by traditional uses. An accessory that can be moved between different garments and accessories, and that takes on a new expression depending on where it is placed.
That is also why the design is open. The material behind becomes part of the whole. Colors, textures, and details interact with the form, allowing the same Glims to be experienced in different ways from person to person.
For some, it becomes a discreet detail. For others, a way to add a personal touch to what they wear. There is no right or wrong way to use Glims, and that freedom has been an important part of the idea from the beginning.
Each design is created with the ambition to be subtle, aesthetic, and easy to combine with different styles. Whether the expression is minimalist or more creative, Glims should be able to become a natural part of the whole.
From the first sketches to the finished product, proximity has been an important part of the process. Through local development and manufacturing, we can work with care for both quality, sustainability, and details.
At its core, Glims is about something simple.
To give people more opportunities to express their own style, in their own way.
